Call for Proposals
The Full Spectrum of Access
The NWILL Conference Planning Committee is excited to open the call for proposals for the 2026 Northwest Interlibrary Loan & Resource Sharing Conference. This hybrid conference will be held September 1-3, 2026 in person at the University of Oregon in Portland, Oregon, and virtually on the Whova conference platform.
Presenters are invited to share their knowledge and experiences through a real-time 45-minute session, a short pre-recorded lightning session, in-person lightning sessions, or a real-time 60-minute panel discussion.
We welcome submissions from library professionals and paraprofessionals working in all types of libraries. Topics can be directly related or adjacent to interlibrary loan and library resource sharing. Preference may be given to presenters who will attend the conference in person.
We encourage submissions that fit within this year’s theme, "The Full Spectrum of Access.” Based on our past conference survey results, our research-sharing community is particularly interested in the following:
Accessibility to Resources
Interoperability
AI in ILL
Justifying Services and Resources
Budget Challenges and Logistics
Patron Outreach/Education
Copyright and CONTU Alternatives
Resource Sharing in Public Libraries
Data, Assessment, and Analysis
Serving Underserved Populations
Ebook ILL and CDL
Training & Position Documentation
This is not an exhaustive list of topics. If you have an idea for a relevant presentation, please submit it.
Conference registration fees will be waived for presenters and co-presenters.
The deadline to submit proposals is midnight Pacific time on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
Organizations and companies can share information about their products and services by sponsoring the conference. Please contact us to get more information about our sponsorship opportunities.
